Explanation Toward Books Love Sonnets
I don't speak any Urdu but enjoy philosophy and poetry . Over the years I've been trying to find a good resource for works of Rumi and Ghalib. A desertful of roses was until now my top resource . I've skimmed through many books but in my experience a lot is lost in translation specially in works by Rumi and Ghalib where a word has multiple meanings giving several layers of subtext to the rendering .I came across this book and am very impressed with the translation. Not all of it is great , but for beginners it affords a great start . Big ups for this one ! 👍
