Appraise Regarding Books Petits suicides entre amis
a typical scandinavian author - everything is funny, even death.it's about a group of suicidal finns who take a bus ride through half of europe to get to the swiss alps where they can crash their bus down a deep ravine. from the beginning it's an easy and fun read that you can finish pretty quickly.the last third of the book starts dragging a bit, you keep hoping that they'll finally find a good spot for the suicide but that never happens.so i was a bit disappointed by the end - i was hoping for

Maybe I'm not getting the finnish humor. Which is not entirely implausible. But come on.I get dark humor, I'm not an idiot. I know some people need to see the funny in the sadness of life but fucking come on. And again, maybe I've been too influenced by the 'PC culture' and seen one too many American comedies that have ruined my sense of humor but I didn't find this book amusing.I found it infuriating. Are you making a group to help people or to assist them with suicide? Why do all the deaths

What a wonderful and original novel! Written by a Finnish author I wasn't familiar with prior to reading this book, this novel absolutely charmed me. Oddly funny in a dark way, this is a story of a group of suicidal people who decide to commit suicide together. They all have their reasons for wanting to end their life. Some of them have quite serious reasons and yet there is humour in this book (dark humour that is). They embark on a long journey, slowly postponing the date of their suicide. At

lt is funny if you are into black type of humour. l personally like black humour so in that way it was amusing. lt has also lots of metaphors that if you don't recognize it is not so important cause you can always enjoy story but they are really cool if you spot them (for that you should probably have some knowledge of Finnish people and culture cause it is more like "inside thing"). lt is written in very simple language which is more a style and statement of author in my opinion than anything

This book started promissing but couldn't keep it interesting. Halfway I became quite bored. The story is very narrative, it doesn't venture in the minds of the characters. That's something that bothered me. The concept is funny and in the beginning I cracked a few smiles but then it started being repetitive. It's a nice book but very simple.

🇬🇧It's a very funny novel, even though the theme is suicide. The adventures of the Finnish Anonymous Deadee are told with an irony (and self-irony about Finn's characteristics and habits) that makes us smile throughout the book. But it also makes us think: the problems that afflict us sometimes seem to be crushing us, while changing our point of view would be enough to see them shrink. One of the jokes I liked most: "In two months he learned to speak Portuguese, which is not surprising since the

Definitely one of my favourite books, just brillant. The author have a gift to treat the worst subjects possible like madness, murder, cheating, loneliness and here suicidal tendencies with a sense of humor never seen before. But a humor that is for once not without respect for the subjects he treats and the people dealing with it, that's the force of Paasilinna for me. No matter how you feel, you can read him and find yourself smiling over tragic issues and realizing that after all even the
