Commentary To Books Celebrity in Death (In Death #34)

As always, I’m impressed with the fact I’m at book #34 and love everything about the characters and story line that JD Robb has written! I always feel like I’m coming home to friends and family when I read about the gang! Each book is a different murder case, and somehow the author keeps the cases fresh and exciting! Of course all I have to say is Roarke! Those of you that have fallen in love with him will know exactly how I feel about that man!!! Him and Eve have the best relationship, and I love reading about their loyalty and love for one another! Now their love extends to their friends as well, and I love them all too! A stand up fabulous series that may take a large commitment but it is so worth it.... I promise!!

Celebrity murders, he muttered. Theyll probably make another goddamn vid. At Eves stunned, slightly horrified expression, he smiled. You could make book on it, he said. Keep me updated. And dont be late for the media conference.Shit, Eve said when hed gone out. Shit. He could be right.Whod play me in this one? I mean, its really wild, isnt it? Somebody playing me investigating the murder of somebody who was playing me. And then theresDont. Youre giving me a headache. Get those runs done. How

I will never tire of this series. Nope. Never. I just love Eve and Roarke and all the others. How J.D. Robb does it I havent a clue. I am kind of happy in one way being late to this party. I never have to wait for the next one to come out!! A good friend just said to me that I will probably finish this series by the end of the year. I panicked for a minute thinking what am I going to do without Eve, Roarke and the whole gang. But.phew..I have lots of .5s to read. 😊I listened to the audio for

Celebrity in Death4 StarsPleasure turns into business for Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her partner when the actress portraying Detective Delia Peabody in "The Icove Agenda" is murdered at a cast party. The trouble is that the victim was a nasty piece of work who antagonized virtually every person that she met, so Eve and Peabody are forced to sort through numerous suspects and motives. The mystery is good albeit reminiscent of Witness in Death in terms of the setting and suspect pool. The numerous

I'm glad I re-read Origin in Death before Celebrity in Death. It probably wasn't strictly necessary, but having the details fresh in my mind added on an extra layer of fun for me. Anywho, I practically stood on the front porch waiting for the UPS guy and promptly devoured the book in about two hours. Probably going to re-read parts before bed. So what to tell you? Well, the person I thought did it didn't, Eve gets another mag coat, and there are some terrific Peabody/McNab moments. Nadine also

In this installment, there's going to be a movie about the Icove case (Origin in Death).  Eve and Peabody got invited to the movie set and met their celebrity counterparts.  That night, during dinner the celebrity counterpart of Peabody is found floating facedown in the swimming pool.  We have celebrities as suspects.  Let the media circus begin.Eve is being her usual badass self which I love.   "If somebody doesn't call me a bitch once a day, I figure I'm not doing my job."It has been 34

Solid character work, but a Hollywood related story line is always a hard sell for me in a mystery, so this one wasn't a fav

So many times authors start off a series with a really well-developed set of characters and a great plot idea, but over time the author seems to forget that people (whether fictional or real) are changed by the events that occur. It becomes increasing frustrating to the faithful series reader, and they become bored when the author fails to allow the characters to change and grow over time. JD Robb's readers keep coming back for more, because the characters remain the heart of the In Death
