Narrative Conducive To Books Incurable (The Ellie Chronicles #2)

I really don't know what the point of this series is. At first this book wasn't as bad as book #1, but then the mother of a classmate of Gavin's, rings to tell Ellie that Gavin killed a cat (I won't go into details) and Ellie says nothing, just hangs up the phone. Does she talk to Gavin about it? Nope. She talks to everyone but him and no one seems in the least bit worried. Then she later talks about how much he loves animals - What. The. Fork. I thought maybe we'd find out that the boy he was with at the time was actually the one who did it but the book is cut short and I am wondering if this will even be dealt with in the final book, which I am going to force myself to listen to. Also, Ellie really needs to cut Lee loose if she's going to like every guy around her except him.

Discuss About Books Incurable (The Ellie Chronicles #2)
This was not as good as the first in this companion series. It was still alright but it is starting to feel a bit repetitive and lacking reason at this point. Ill still finish it off though cause I do love these characters and the overall story.

Feel compelled to finish this series

I seriously dont understand the timeline here. How can Ellie etc possibly *still* be at high school?? And more to the point, why? Leaving aside the tiny fact of THE WAR (it seems pretty realistic to assume there would be special considerations regarding exams and university entry, rather than students and teachers being expected to just pick up where they left off) we just spent the whole previous book trying to keep the farm. So is she supposed to just disappear off to uni once she graduates???

This was disappointing. Nothing actually happened. In fact, there were whole chapters of nothing but routine. I don't need to know what they usually have for breakfast, especially if it's going to take half a page. The action scenes were completely unrealistic and boring. All in all, this was a BAD book.
