That was just so amazing, I WANT TO CRY!!!!!!!! I went through a roller-coaster of emotions. So much more questions and we got answers too!! I loved this so much it was an amazing sequel to The Darkest Minds!!!!!! I loved it even more and it was just so interesting. I couldn't help but cry at some parts because of all the feels. Why did I wait so long and why couldn't the book come faster? I was missing out on this trilogy and now I know why it's so good! This is the second book in the DarkestWow, this was another non-stop adventure for our gang of super-powered survivors of the deadly disease that killed off most kids in the US. Ruby has left Liam, Charles and Zu behind in order to keep them safe and is now working with an anti-government group. But with any group of people you meet in this book, who canyou really trust? Just like in the first book in the series, Ruby is still working to harness her power to control other's minds, but here she's struggling much more with the moral
I will not be a bad person and ruin Never Fade, because that's not fair to Alexandra Bracken and all the anticipation she built and is still building leading up to the release of Never Fade, and also not fair to the people who actually don't like spoilers. (I have to say, I'm such a curious person that I sometimes look for spoilers. I know, it's a bad habit.)But also, WARNING. Spoilers below. ( BEWARE OF FEELS AND CURSES) I finished this book at around 3 am and I thought sleeping would help me process the shit that went down. It did not help. All in all this book deserves the whole night sky full of stars. So of course 5/5 stars without a shadow of a doubt. Characters: Liam: oh sweet baby jesus I love this boy so freaking much he can call me darlin whenever he wants. I just want to cuddle up next to him and let him love me forever. UNLIKE RUBY WHO FREAKING TAKES HIS
In a word, disappointing.I thought The Darkest Minds was awesome, I found the plot interesting and the supporting characters and their relationships with each other to be very well done. I had only 2 issues with that book -- the pacing and Ruby. Unfortunately, in this sequel, those 2 things still sucked and worse, the suckiness was actually magnified.The thing is, I really liked how the first book ended. I didnt like that it came about as a result of Rubys stupid decisions, and the cliffhanger
I liked this so much more than the first book! I can't wait to see how it comes to a close with the last book.
