Criticize Out Of Books Hard Up, Ardon #2

Although I am already a huge fan of Jimmy Perrin's writing and I loved this book like I loved the first, I did feel it lacked a certain story line like number one delivered. Saying that I still adore the character Dexter and the end of the book, well the end is just amazing. Jimmy at his best. Can't wait for the third in March now. Highly funny, everyone should read if you need a smile

After the first Hard up, Ardon, I really didn't think I would read anything as funny ever again. How wrong was I? Number two is even better, much better in-fact !!I won't spoil it for anyone, but the last chapter and what the author does with the story is pure class - I have never in my life seen anyone do what he has done or try this in a book before - It was magical !!Please hurry and release the third x

Far too much swearing involved in this book, yet better than the first book

Although like the first book, this made me smile, I've got to say it, not as much. I was expecting big things after the first, and after reading it's reviews I couldn't wait. It had it's moments, but seemed to lack direction for me, sorry.

After reading the first instalment of this book, I was a little worried that the storyline would fizzle out or it would become dry. So to my amazement, I am pleased to say that this book bettered the first one by some distance. Not so much in it's storyline, but in the portrayal of the bigger characters, where they are written to perfection. Yes Dexter again is predictably chaotic, but as far as rouges go, he is quite a charming guy really. One thing I did find depressing about this book is, I

Although I thought this second book in the series was better than the first, I am still put off by the amount of swear words involved with the write. I know It's in the nature of the characters, but surely it can be toned down a tad?? Very very good read, if you don't mind all the swear words.

I said that the first book was unrealistic in places, and this one failed to deliver anything but that. In-fact, the only thing that did keep me reading it, was I needed to find out just how far this author would go to deliver his shocking smut. Once again, very funny in every sense of the word, yet needs to find a platform for better plot-lines.
